Here some words to say to
you why, and that for more than 40 years, the beauceron has been the dog of our
family.
After the loss of the very
first companion, a sympathetic bastard, we looked at books showing of the dogs
and describing their character.
Each Sunday the family
explored breedings because we drew aside the “merchants”
A thing was acquired: We
loved the dogs of intermediate size, with the dark dress (black) and the well
balanced character. It has been necessary to draw aside a race very resembling
which sometimes did not seem too much to appreciate the children. The
stockbreeder of this race had shouted “move back the children” and my parents
had drawn from it the conclusion which was obvious !
We found our happiness
in a Seneffe's castle.
Madam the baroness
accomodated us there, its dogs too. The children (3) returned of this escapade
smeared with chocolate and mud, but happy hearts, because had we had reserved
our first shepherd of Beauce there.
We were to seek our second beauceron in France (Montreuil-Bellay): observe
during video: the farmer still carries wooden shoes!

It was in 1965.
In 1967 “Poyète “made
us gift of a splendid brood of small swarthy men.
Our dogs took quite
different directions. One became guard of herd in the south of France,
another dog of company of a young handicapped person, another guard of
warehouse of a craftsman fed up with burglings and I also remember the
happiness of a small boy who received a dog like gift of end of primary
cycle of studies (12 years old).

1968,1970 etc….
The great sport of this bitch consisted in springing towards this fence
with broad meshs while barking on the people who approached a little too
much: it made use of it like elastic net to retain it : we felt very
protected!
The wellbeing of the dogs
passes above all: it sometimes happened for us to refuse a dog seing a dad
very violent with his children for fear of seing a similar behavior with the pup.
We moved several times and
always our bitch followed with the goat and the hens It always adapted without
problem.
It was a real happiness
for my parents to see me taking again the torch of will beaucerons in the
countryside area, in a decoration of small farm with sheep, taking again the
affix and occupying me of my bitch and puppies with much care.
The history is not finished: my daughter will take a pup of the range of Sarah!
